All STEP-FOUR Basic 540 packages contain the milling mechanics Basic 540,
protected against injuries and dirt due to aluminium coverings. The combination of
slide bearings and tempered and reinforced steel shafts offers optimum damping.
Apart from the new design the mechanics optimized construction stands out for
higher sturdiness and much easier assembly.
Due to the special construction with milled alumnium junctions and extruded profiles,
no base plate is reuired. The work area is open underneath. Even large parts (e.g.
component casing) can be processed.
